Why The Democratic Party Turned Against Your Freedom

The mainstream media likes to insinuate that the NRA is a partisan organization. It isn’t. Politicians earn their grades and endorsements from them (nrapvf.org/grades) based on how they vote and on what their positions are concerning the Second Amendment. It’s that simple. A politician’s grade has nothing to do with their party affiliation. If it seems as if the NRA is partisan today, this is because the Democratic Party is a much smaller tent than it used to be.

When Barack Obama first won the presidency in 2008, for example, there was a sizeable block of Democratic members of Congress who understood that our Second Amendment freedom is a good thing that must be protected. Many of those Democrats, however, lost their seats in Congress as Obama pushed the party left.

This purge of Democrats in Congress who vote for your Second Amendment rights has continued. Today, the party has pushed out almost all of its pro-freedom politicians. By 2016, in fact, the Democratic Party’s official platform, under Hillary Clinton, was more anti-Second Amendment than it had ever officially been before.

All of the candidates currently fighting for the Democratic Party’s nomination for president want to ban popular semi-automatic rifles; they want to bankrupt America’s gun manufacturers one by one through once again, giving frivolous lawsuits legal cover; they want to nominate judges who don’t believe the Second Amendment is an individual right and so much more.

These extreme positions aren’t even smart politics. Past polling has indicated the number of union households with firearms in them in the United States goes from a low of 40% in California to a high of 60-80% in states like West Virginia, Michigan and North Carolina. The firearm owners in those states want their Second Amendment rights protected. When Democrats go against the Second Amendment, they go also go against a large part of their very own base.

This isn’t true of the Democratic Party in every local election, and I have hope that the Democrats will come to their senses. Nevertheless, the polarization of this issue, which again is coming from the left, is not helping anyone.

So why did the Democratic Party decide that its own party’s platform should blame law-abiding firearm owners for the actions of criminals? Why did their party’s elites purposely expunge rational discussion from their political party with regard to this constitutional issue then?

Here are two huge reasons why.

First, mainstream-media outlets located in big cities along the coasts dominate the conversation on the left. These left-leaning media outlets and their dog-lapping people simply are not interested in honest reporting of firearm issues. Period.

They are instead more solely focused on pushing anti-gun narratives because that sells and that’s what contributes to their bottom line, which is why I always tell everyone that NO news is true news when it is funded by the almighty dollar. It can ONLY be ENTERTAINMENT and NOTHING MORE!

They NEVER host guests who can humanize the freedom side of this issue; for example, when they have little interest in having women on who just used their firearms in legal self-defense of their lives or lives of others.

What these lame-stream media outlets are interested in is pushing gun control to also push their own personal agendas and NOTHING MORE!

One way they do this is by helping candidates who express anti-gun bullshit.

The other big reason is these politicians follow the money. Michael Bloomberg is a good example of the left’s deep-pocketed elites. Bloomberg has long used his $50-plus billion war chest to further restrict or outright take away your right to keep and bear arms. He is now in the race for president and he is spending BIG TIME! Whether Bloomberg wins the Democratic Party’s nomination or not, his money is a real factor in this election. Once again. PERIOD!

Many of the Democrat’s big donors hold fundraisers in places like Beverly Hills and New York City’s Upper East Side. These far-left donors have pushed the Democratic Party further left—especially on issues like Second Amendment rights. These wealthy Democratic donors live behind walls and have armed security—they live separate, elite lives—and they look out over America and think that all those little people between the coasts should not have Constitutional Rights as well as the God-Given Right to the same level of self-protection they themselves afford with their own levels of self-protection they currently enjoy.

_ Voters need to remind them—as they did to Al Gore in 2000 and Hillary Clinton in 2016 that American freedom should not be a partisan issue, and Americans will always stand and fight for their God-Given and Constitutionally backed Second Amendment freedom. Oh….PERIOD!

Michael Bloomberg: Hitler of 2020. HIS Way Or NO Way!

When Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City and the founder of multiple gun-control groups, announced he was running for president, he also said his news service would not investigate him or his rivals who are vying for the Democratic Party’s nomination. He said Bloomberg News, which has over 2,000 employees, would, however, keep investigating and writing opinion pieces about President Donald J. Trump.

This means that the many reporters with Bloomberg News have basically been given marching orders to openly behave as operatives of the Democratic Party.

This prompted David Martosko, the U.S. politics editor for the Daily Mail, to tweet: “I predict Trump rallies will include this: ‘Is there a Bloomberg reporter back there in the fake news section? They fly on Air Force One every day and chase me around but Little Mike won’t let them investigate ANY Democrats. It’s crooked as hell.'” The possibility of that being said by Trump at a campaign rally was quickly dashed, however, as the Trump administration responded by announcing that Bloomberg’s reporters would not be given press credentials to attend Trump’s campaign events.

The thing is, Bloomberg’s anti-journalistic move is not surprising. His gun-control group Everytown for Gun Safety, for example, already won’t speak with reporters who won’t print its propaganda almost verbatim.

Everytown isn’t interested in honest, bipartisan fact-finding on issues related to guns any more than Bloomberg is in this campaign.

Even Bloomberg’s political website states: “Taking on the Gun Lobby: While other elected officials live in fear of the NRA, Mike has led the effort to stop gun violence and keep communities safe.” This declaration is hardly an attempt to bring people together to find the best ways to reduce homicide rates where they are high, such as in areas with stringent gun-control laws. Rather, it’s a political statement; a declaration from Bloomberg that he intends to do all he can to vanquish his political opponents—meaning you and this civil-liberties association.

This is an election in which Bloomberg is all in with his $55-billion fortune. Whether he is the nominee or not, his money will be a big factor as he attempts to fool people into voting away their freedom for perceived security.

Bloomberg is selling policies that, as in Mexico, Venezuela and the United Kingdom don’t create better, freer and safer communities.

After Bloomberg declared that his large news company would openly behave as a political machine, he went to Colorado to unveil the basic framework of his gun-control agenda, which (no surprises here) includes: So-called “universal” background checks; a new ban on popular semi-automatic rifles and so-called “high-capacity magazines;” raising the age to buy a gun of any type to 21; a two-day waiting period for all gun purchases; a gun-owner licensing scheme; a repeal of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act so that anti-gun activists can sue a gun maker out of business if a criminal uses its product illegally; and much more.

These are positions that, unfortunately, all of the leading candidates now hoping to be the Democratic nominee pretty much agree on.

Obviously, if you care about American freedom, this is not an election season to be complacent. This is an election in which our freedom will be on the ballot.

A Chauvinist (my bad) In Support Of Females

Left-leaning mainstream media outlets and politicians would have women believe that guns in the home present a domestic violence hazard. The reality is that women are at a significant physical disadvantage when it comes to being able to defend themselves. And, as we know, a gun is the great equalizer: It puts a woman on equal footing against an attacker who is physically stronger. In fact, guns are more likely to help a trained woman defend her life than to be used against her. The U.S. Department of Justice’s National Crime Victimization Survey canvasses 100,000 people a year and finds that gun ownership is the safest course of action for people — particularly women — who are trying to protect themselves from a violent crime.

These studies and surveys also show us that a woman who behaves passively in the face of an attack is 2.4 times more likely to be seriously injured than a woman who uses a gun to defend herself.

HEARING THEIR STORIES Interestingly enough, there are plenty of examples of women defending their lives with firearms, but when was the last time you heard a left-leaning media organization tell one of those stories? The national media virtually never cover defensive-gun-use stories in which innocent lives are saved.

Instead, coverage tends to be saturated with stories in which guns are used to harm innocent people or in the commission of other crimes. As far as women are concerned, these outlets often only cover stories involving domestic violence or stalking situations in which the victims were badly injured or killed.

I believe it’s high time these success stories are highlighted. And the Crime Prevention Research Center has compiled just a few of the many examples of defensive-gun-use stories that involve domestic violence. These women’s stories need to be recognized, and their voices need to be heard.

Here are only a pitiful handful from just last year alone:

June 7, 2019: A woman in her late 50s shoots and kills her ex-boyfriend in self-defense after he assaults her, threatens to kill her and knocks out one of her teeth.

June 6, 2019: A woman protects herself and her five children by shooting and injuring her ex-boyfriend after he violates an order of protection and tries to break into her house through a window.

May 10, 2019: A District Judge shoots and wounds her husband in their home after he violates an order of protection from abuse.

April 30, 2019: A woman shoots and kills her ex-boyfriend after he breaks into her home. He had sent her text messages all day threatening to kill her.

April 3, 2019: A woman, in fear for her life, shoots and kills her boyfriend after he becomes belligerent and attacks her in her home.

Feb. 14, 2019: A woman protects herself and her teen son by shooting and killing a man after he violently attacks them in their home.

Jan. 6, 2019: A 52-year-old woman shoots and kills a man in her home who breaches an order of protection forbidding him from going near her address.

These stories aren’t just some abstract discussion to me. These women are survivors of violent crime.

I have done my own research on this type of violence to see what ‘they’ suggest. The advice I’ve found tells victims never to go anywhere alone, change her phone number, switch up her routine, warn people close to her about the stalker, abuse or abuser, take notes and keep track of what the perpetrator does, take out a restraining order, move to another location, get a new job … basically to change their entire life.

THIS NEXT PARAGRAPH IS KEY, SO READ IT CAREFULLY!

That kind of advice is re-victimizing someone who is already a victim. I have yet to see anything out there on websites like The National Center for Victims of Crime that tells a victim of stalking or domestic violence to consider getting the best defensive tool possible: a gun. There’s no explanation of the basic human right of self-defense or how to legally act if you find your life in imminent danger.

There’s no advice on steps to legally carry a gun in public to defend yourself against someone you fear may be trying to hurt or kill you. Why is this subject so ignored? Why is it seen as so taboo?

I believe if this advice were given upfront — in a very factual and honest way — it would go a very long way in helping a lot of good people to protect themselves.

Some still believe a restraining order can protect women, but the very sad fact is that a restraining order is nothing more than a piece of paper and worth nothing more than that. The penalty for violating a restraining order is trivial compared to the penalty for assaulting or murdering women or their loved ones.

If a criminal is willing to commit a violent crime, he or she will then have absolutely no problem violating a restraining order. And, unfortunately, real life does not mimic the movies. where a woman can easily knock out the bad guy or run away from a larger attacker.

We often hear how important it is to empower women. I believe women should be empowered to defend themselves however they see fit. And I want them to know that, with proper training, having a gun is viable. potentially life-saving option.

It’s time for the mainstream media to present a more balanced view of gun use in America so women can decide for themselves if having a gun would be beneficial to them or not. It’s their absolute right to choose.

Violence And Then Beyond Violence

While the use of firearms in violent crimes is at the forefront, we neglected to confront the cause of violence we are now experiencing.

Over the last 60 years, our society has abandoned its customs, morals, traditions and self-restraint to limit bad behavior, including criminality. Many of our politicians, clergy and educators avoid condemning the worst among us and the atrocities committed.

It has become commonplace for teachers to be threatened with violence, or actually to suffer it. Much of our “art” is little more than filth that in many circles is celebrated and defended. Much of this is aimed directly at our children.

Our language too has become debased. Terrorist acts and other criminal mass murders are now commonly referred to as “tragedies” when in fact they are atrocities. Those committing such violence are referred to as “extremists,” “militants;” “depressed,” “angry” or other euphemisms.

Moreover, when the responsible parties are caught, they are rarely ever executed.

Does anybody remember Nicholas Cruz? For 20 months since he murdered over a score of students at Douglas High School in Florida, he’s been provided with “three hots and a cot” at taxpayer expense. Why has he not been executed?

We have become inured to behavior our parents and grandparents would never have tolerated. Our violence problem is not caused by guns — it’s cultural degeneration and deviancy. These are incredibly complex issues, and not amenable to any “quick fixes.” However, until those matters are addressed and dealt with, the past is but a prelude to the future. It will not be affected by limiting the rights of the citizenry, limiting the kinds of firearms it can own or the number of cartridges they can hold. Such proposals come from fools or charlatans and will do nothing to cure this nation.

Now, sit back and give THAT some thought and ponderance.

THEY’VE GONE TOO FAR. LEFT-WING POLITICIANS HAVE LEFT THE CLOSET

If a political party with significant power abandons the rule of law, proceeding headlong down a path with no Constitution, no due process and brute force thinly disguised as court decisions — is this why America’s public is armed?

Back in Colonial times, the public understood the only deterrent to a government run amok was power in the hands of the people:

Okay, so we’re well armed, at least the half of us who understand these things. The other half, unfortunately, collectively cloistered in a single political party, is clueless. They have reached a point, whipped on by their “democratically elected leaders” where they’ve been convinced they must vote us out of our rights.

They can’t legitimately confiscate property we already own, but this doesn’t seem to matter in present presidential debates. An entire party’s worth of candidates don’t see it, or ask each other — they have actually put it in their platform. A full palette of prohibited acts have become their goals — ex post facto laws — taking without compensation, warrantless searches and seizures and even total bans on firearms. It’s as if the Constitution does not exist.

The so-called “news” media doesn’t question it either, not even a little. If there ever was a third rail of politics, it’s no longer Social Security, at least not with millennials cheering skateboarders onto a stage. It is guns —and not just keeping and bearing them. It’s the disarming, sub-arming and confiscation part. The part no reporter will address. Not because they don’t care — they care deeply. They want you disarmed as much as these campaigning pols. They won’t touch it out of electrified fear.

One candidate after another has a more ambitious plan to outlaw, confiscate and ban the best firearms we own. The types police prefer because they’re the best.

America, we have reached a tipping point. We have reached the point the Founders armed us for, and only we the armed seem to notice. It’s because we’re old enough to have been educated before socialism overtook and overwhelmed the education system.

Lazy Us

America has gotten so opulent, comfortable and frankly lazy, the idea of using the front end of guns for their intended purpose — defense of freedom against a confiscatory, unconstitutional, radicalized government seems virtually unthinkable. Candidates don’t fear our arms. They’re proudly — proudly! —promising to confiscate, well, virtually everything that launches lead. Ask what they believe is protected, they stammer. Some believe and have said the Constitution protects muzzleloaders, from the time the document was written.

They say this into microphones that spread speech worldwide instantly. When the Constitution was written, speech traveled as far as you could throw your voice from a soapbox, and no farther. The irony is lost on them.

Their hatred — yes hatred — of you and your guns knows no bounds. The days of denying it have ended. They are out of the closet. Some do hate guns in a ‘hopelophobic’ way, like arachnophobes hate spiders and ‘aquaphobes’ fear water. It’s just blind medical hatred, and subject to cure, but medical magicians have their heads firmly up where the sun don’t shine. They are “in denial,” the left’s favorite phrase for everyone but themselves.

But others hate you for the root cause — you represent freedom. The firearm in your hands is power, just like guns in their alphabet-soup agencies is power. Sure, power comes from the barrel of a pen, and they have those, but hard power comes from the barrel of a gun. They know this. They want yours which, just coincidentally, will leave you powerless. It will make their tyrannical leadership more secure. They understand it like the communist Chinese leadership understands it. And like every dictatorship that rules (“leads”) a nation of people who are disarmed.

It Is Not Allowed

So at what point does the muzzle of your gun protect your gun from tyranny? When one of these socialist-dictator types (running as “green” candidates but actually outspoken virtual commie red ones) decides you can’t keep a decent rifle you already own, and assaults it with “a bill”? Do you file a letter or pro-test? Do you wait for an official vote?. Go to courts they run, with judges they pay, and lawyers — yours and theirs —licensed by them, and learn, as Lenny Bruce poignantly noted, “In the halls of justice, the only justice is in the halls”? They’re coming for your guns, loudly, proudly, in the open, now, and on center stage. Do you really expect to get the kind of fair treatment the Central Park Five got?

It is beyond comprehension; ambitious candidates of an entire party are campaigning on things the Constitution bans, and getting cheering support.

I certainly don’t advocate violence, but on the other hand, like my armed countrymen, I vigorously support self-defense and am prepared to act if desperate immediate proximate criminal trouble were to arise, God forbid. I’ve been through intensive training, classes, reading, et, el for decades. I’ve completed tons of course training on the subject — so far.

What I haven’t done is considered the dire threat politicians present to the nation, when they stoke the flames of revolution by doing precisely what the British did that got us there those many years ago. They have announced they’re coming for our guns. It is not subtle. It is not limited. It is not allowed.
