The Truth Is Out There

Once known as strongholds for the free exchange of ideas, many American universities have become no-speech zones—particularly if you speak out in support of the Second Amendment.

American colleges and universities have long been admired as bastions of free speech and thought. But today, a new wave of campus political correctness is on the offensive against free speech, including support of the Second Amendment.

National Rifle Association gun safety classes had long been taught at the nine-campus Los Angeles Community Colleges—until they were banned by the Board of Trustees. The Board’s vice president stated that colleges should “promote gun control” and not teach gun safety. To make sure that no safety training occurs, the trustees even banned inert plastic gun replicas, which have no moving parts and are colored to not resemble real guns.

College President Kathleen Burke says that the word “gun” may not be mentioned in the schools’ catalog, according to a report in The College Fix, a newspaper whose journalists cover political correctness on campus.

In 2018, Long Island University Post junior Anand Venigalla participated in an off-campus shooting event hosted by retailer Cabela’s Sporting Goods. He posted Facebook pictures of himself holding some guns at the event. Then, a student who saw the pictures complained that the student “might have violent intentions”—even though there was nothing in the pictures suggesting violence.

The administration ordered Venigalla to an “imperative” meeting. There, the administration discussed its “concerns”—namely an essay that student had written the year before for a class on war, terrorism and justice. In the essay, Venigalla had cited the Boston Tea Party for the argument that political violence can sometimes be justified against the government, but not against individuals.

The inquiry against Venigalla was dropped, since he had violated no rules. Still, the administration had sent the strong message that participation in the shooting sports will lead to investigation of everything you have ever written.

If you go a step further, and expressly support the Second Amendment, the police may be summoned. When a Central Connecticut State University student gave a class presentation supporting licensed firearms carry on campus, the professor called the police. Since Connecticut has gun registration, the police interrogated the student about where he stores his registered guns.

At Kent State University in Ohio, someone overheard a telephone call in which student Leandra Westbrook said it is “a shame that I cannot carry a gun on campus, considering I have my carry license.” Another student reported her to campus police. She was detained and interrogated by campus police, who let her go after ascertaining that she was not carrying.

Expressing support for campus carry can, in fact, bring severe consequences. After the 2007 Virginia Tech mass murders, the Hamline University (Saint Paul, Minn.) administration sent campus-wide emails informing students about counseling services. One student wrote back, suggesting that Virginia Tech’s ban on adult students carrying licensed handguns was a contributing factor in the murders, and that Hamline’s similar policy was dangerous.

He was immediately suspended, allowed to return to campus only if he had a mental health evaluation supervised by the administration. According to the Hamline administration, criticizing the administration’s gun ban was “deemed to be threatening and thus an alleged violation of the Hamline University Judicial Code.”

At some schools, Second Amendment speech is completely off limits. Students at Hampshire College (Massachusetts) scheduled a speech on “Women Empowerment and Second Amendment” by African-American activist Antonia Okafor.

Two hours before the speech, the administration announced, “We have to cancel this event because we deem it too controversial and we are receiving calls from students and staff and professors and they are upset about it.” Further, ‘An event where someone is coming to campus to speak about the Second Amendment, which is a very controversial subject, would need to have extra considerations and precautions put into place, which cannot be done on such short notice.”

Likewise, when the Boise State University chapter of Young Americans for Liberty invited Dick Heller (the winning plaintiff in District of Columbia v. Heller) to speak, the administration demanded a $465 fee—for three security guards and two police officers. Information about the speech was subsequently scrubbed from the university website.

The problem exists everywhere, including areas where Second Amendment support is strong. The Texas Christian University chapter of Young Americans for Freedom scheduled a speech by former Reagan administration official Bay Buchanan. The speech was titled ‘Fully Loaded’, and the handbill for the speech included a picture of an old shotgun. To raise funds, the student group planned a raffle, the prizes being firearm safety classes. The administration forbade the raffle and refused to distribute the flyer on official school websites. According to the administration, “Gun promotion is contrary to university policy to carry on campus. Producing a poster with a rifle on it and the words ‘fully loaded’ apparently can cause alarm in today’s environment.”

Mentioning firearms is verboten at some schools. The University of Oregon’s chapter of Young Americans for Liberty asked for $95o from the student government for a “Liberty Poker Night.” Because student fees are mandatory, the First Amendment requires that the fees be distributed to student groups without ideological discrimination. But funding was denied because the student government said that “the event’s pro-gun message” made some students feel “unsafe.” The event would have included door prizes—three firearms donated by local gun dealers. As YAL students made clear, the firearms would never be on campus, but would be picked up later from the dealers, in compliance with all state and federal laws.

The thought of guns is also forbidden at some schools. The Yale University campus is renowned for the stone artwork adorning the buildings. One item depicts a Puritan and a Native American side by side. The Puritan holding a musket and the Native American a bow. The musket has since been covered to prevent offending students.

Even laughter is a potent weapon against conformity, and therefore must be suppressed. At Lone Star College, the Young Conservatives of Texas distributed a flyer that included a humorous list of ‘Top 10 Gun Safety Tips’. For example, “if the gun misfires, never look down the barrel to inspect it” one of the passages reads.

The school confiscated the flyers and warned the young conservatives that their group might be disbanded. According to the administration, any “mention of firearms and weapons” constitutes “material interference with the operation of the school or the rights of others.” The reason is that speech about guns “brings fear and concern to students, faculty and staff”.

The censorship resulted in a lawsuit by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education and the Texas chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. The state school’s censorship regime was held unconstitutional by a federal district court.

But at private colleges, there are no First Amendment rights. So at Colorado College, a private school in Colorado Springs, the school’s Feminist and Gender Studies program published a newsletter, The Monthly Rag, discussing topics such as “male castration:’ In response, two students put up a poster parodying the Rag. The posters mentioned “guy stuff” such as chainsaws and sniper rifles. Colorado College President Richard R Celeste (formerly anti-gun governor of Ohio) declared that the posters were “threatening” and meant “to intimidate others.” He punished the students for their supposedly sex-related “violence.”

To protest the ‘gun-free’ zone at Portland State University, College Republicans created a satirical petition to make the university a ‘murder-free’ zone. They created posters with messages such as ‘Make PSU Murder-Free Now!’ And in response, the administration denied the Republicans use of a table in the commons area. Supposedly, the satirical message was ‘triggering’ and ‘libelous’, and might have provoked a violent response by anti-gun students.

At some campuses, Students for Concealed Carry organized ‘Empty Holster’ protests. On a designated day, students protested campus gun bans by wearing empty holsters at the school. Tarrant County College in Texas, prohibited the protest. Students were also forbidden to wear pro-gun T-shirts, since these were supposedly “offensive” and constituted advocacy for “violence.”

Students were also prohibited from handing out flyers. With no holsters or T-shirts, a protest was allowed only in the college’s so-called ‘free speech’ zone, which as only a 12 foot wide concrete slab.

In fact, criticizing campus gun bans is an unforgivable deviation from political correctness at some colleges. At Allegheny County College, (Pennsylvania), a student wanted to form a campus chapter of Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, and she distributed handbills about the organization. The administration ordered her to destroy the handbills. According to the administration, giving out free flyers about a new campus group was unlawful “solicitation” since the student was trying to “sell” other students on the idea of joining the group. A dean warned her that she would be punished if she persisted in what the administration called “academic misconduct.”

It’s not just students who are at risk of censorship. At St. Thomas University in Florida, Chief Financial Officer Anita Britt was ordered to resign because she serves on the board of directors of American Outdoor Brands, a conglomerate that owns Smith & Wesson.

In this upside-down world of today’s universities and society in general, verbal dissent from political correctness is considered “violence.” At the University of California’s Merced campus, the Campus Republicans held an event supporting immigration law enforcement. Students held signs saying, “I love undocumented firearms.” The university’s Associated Students, which distributes funding to campus groups, threatened to cut off funding because the signs constituted “violent actions:’ The Campus Republicans were then stalked and harassed by faculty and by other students. A professor accused the Republicans of making “anti-Marxist arguments.”

That professor had, in fact, got to the real point. On campuses today, non-adherence to Marxism is a punishable offense.

While the problem of campus censorship is much broader than Second Amendment issues, it is no wonder that Second Amendment advocates are so frequently targeted. The censors hate what the NRA and the Second Amendment stand for and represent. Individual rights, responsibility, self-sufficiency, courage and patriotism. After all, the NRA teaches personal safety classes titled “Refuse To Be A Victim”—exactly the opposite of campus indoctrination that teaches that everyone is a victim and should just exist to be a target if the administration had any say about the matter.

Second Amendment advocates are hated and persecuted on college campuses because their character is hard for totalitarians to control. As Thomas Jefferson advised his nephew, Peter Carr, in 1785, “As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind.”

Submission requires disarmament. When 17th-century French philosopher Jean Bodin argued against the free exercise of religion and the freedom of speech, he accurately observed, “We may not think ever to keep that people in subjection which hath always lived in liberty, if they not be disarmed.”

It’s important to note that the NRA is fighting back. Since 2008, the NRA Grassroots has brought “NRA University” to more than 100 campuses. As Grassroots Director Glen Caroline explains, NRA University is “a two-hour training seminar for college students interested in learning more about NRA, the Second Amendment, gun safety, legislative threats to gun rights and the gun control debate:’ All students who attend the seminar receive a one-year membership, lots of food and NRA swag.

But NRA Grassroots courses are not sufficient to resist the authoritarian tide. Two decades ago, NRA President Charlton Heston asked Harvard Law students, “Who here thinks your professors can say what they really believe? It scares me to death, and should scare you too, that the superstition of political correctness rules the halls of reason. … I submit that you, and your counterparts across the land, are the most socially conformed and politically silenced generation since Concord Bridge:’

What did Heston, who had marched alongside Dr. Martin Luther King during the civil rights battle in the 1960’s, advise? “Disobey. Peaceably, yes. Respectfully, of course. Nonviolently, absolutely. … I am asking you to disavow cultural correctness with massive disobedience of rogue authority, social directives and onerous laws that weaken personal freedom.

“But be careful,” he warned. “Disobedience demands that you put yourself at risk. … You must be willing to be humiliated … to endure the modern-day equivalent of the police dogs at Montgomery and the water cannons at Selma”

He concluded: “So that this nation may long endure, I urge you to follow in the hallowed footsteps of the great disobedience’s of history that freed exiles, founded religions, defeated tyrants, and yes, in the hands of an aroused rabble in arms and a few great men, by God’s grace, built this country”

READ ON IF YOU FEEL WHAT HAPPENED IN VENEZUELA CAN’T EVER HAPPEN HERE IN THE UNITED STATES!

HOW CREEPING SOCIALISM THREATENS AMERICAN FREEDOMS

Look no further than the devastating situation in Venezuela to see what happens when a socialist government confiscates the guns of law-abiding citizens.

In early March, a Harris poll revealed that nearly half (149.6 percent) of Millennials and members of Generation Z said they would “prefer living in a socialist country.” Millennials are typically defined as anyone born between 1981 and 1996, and Generation Z includes those born in or after 1997.

Since these two age groups are expected to make up about 37 percent of voting-age Americans for the 2020 election, trouble could be looming on the horizon. Combine that with the fact that an increasing number of u.s. senators and representatives are publicly embracing socialism, and the outlook is even more dire.

Setting aside a vast multitude of other problems created by socialist systems, the devastating effect that moving toward a more socialist type of government would have on law-abiding Americans and the practice of their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms is nearly unthinkable.

The Venezuela Disaster

Venezuela was once the most prosperous country in Latin America, boasting one of the world’s richest oil reserves. High oil prices ensured that the majority of Venezuela’s citizens lived a decent life. In fact, seven years ago, nearly 90 percent of the country’s revenue came from oil.

The oil-centered economy started to crumble when prices began to fall in 2014. The drop from $100 per barrel to about $50 per barrel was more than the economy could stand. The failing economy, coupled with the Nicolas Maduro regime coming into power and morphing Hugo Chavez’s socialist government into a more tyrannical dictatorship, sent the country into a downhill spiral.

Venezuela is currently experiencing the worst economic crisis in its history, marked by hyperinflation, rampant disease, soaring hunger and crime. The crisis has affected the lives of average Venezuelans on all levels. By 2017, hunger had escalated to the point where almost 75 percent of the population had lost an average of nearly 20 pounds, and more than half did not have enough income to meet their basic food needs. By the end of 2018, more than 90 percent of the population was below the poverty line, and almost one-tenth of Venezuelans (3 million) had left their country.

Most recently, electrical blackouts have plagued parts of the country, and the shortage of food and drinkable water has worsened. As some hospitals used generators in order to continue caring for patients during the blackouts, others operated without any power at all, leaving patients needing dialysis machines and other equipment to do without.

The bottom line is that once-proud Venezuela has become the poster child for how a country’s socialist government can quickly become so corrupt that its citizens become mired in a life-or-death crisis. All the while, its leaders seem to care only about themselves, not rank-and-file Venezuelans.

Authorities have even fired upon and killed citizens by the dozens for protesting the Maduro regime. In fact, in the past two years, nearly 200 pro-democracy protesters, armed mainly with rocks, have been shot and killed by government forces in order to squelch their protests.

Socialism And Guns

Ask Venezuelans how they got where they are, and they will tell you that disarmament of average citizens has been the major factor. In fact, it is the sole reason citizens aren’t able to fight back against a corrupt, tyrannical government in their current time of need.

Back in 2012, the Venezuelan National Assembly enacted what was known as the “Control of Arms, Munitions and Disarmament Law:’ with the stated purpose of disarming “all citizens.” Effective in 2013, the law banned commercial sale of guns and ammunition to all Venezuelans. That is, all but those within the government and, of course, criminals.

After Maduro succeeded Chavez as the country’s leader, the Venezuelan government in 2014 spent $47 million enforcing the ban, according to a recent report from Fox News. Many of the confiscated firearms were publicly destroyed as a show of force by government officials.

The result: Buy or sell a gun now, and you’ll spend 20 years in prison—if you can survive that long.

“Guns would have served as a vital pillar to remaining a free people, or at least able to put up a fight:’ Javier Vanegas, a Venezuelan teacher of English now exiled in Ecuador, told Fox News. “The government security forces, at the beginning of this debacle, knew they had no real opposition to their force. Once things were this bad, it was a clear declaration of war against an unarmed population.”

As many American politicians continue a full-scale assault on our Second Amendment and the rights it protects, it is clear that many Venezuelans wish that they would have had such a protection of their right to arms. Is it possible that citizens having such a right to keep and bear arms would have changed the outcome? I believe the answer is a resounding “yes.”

“The idea of having the means to protect your home was seen as only needed out in the fields. People never would have believed they needed to defend themselves against the government.”

“Venezuelans didn’t care enough about it (the gun ban),” Vanegas further told Fox. “The idea of having the means to protect your home was seen as only needed out in the fields. People never would have believed they needed to defend themselves against the government.

“Venezuelans evolved to always hope that our government would be non-tyrannical, non-violator of human rights, and would always have a good enough control of criminality.”

Obviously, that’s not how things have worked out. Rather, what we are seeing on television news on a daily basis is that some Venezuelans have guns—namely corrupt government agencies and violent criminals. But regular citizens who need protection are out of luck.

Luis Farias of Margarita says violence was bad enough before the gun ban. Now, he says, it’s devastating.

“Now the criminal mother is unleashed;’ Farias told Fox. “Trying to ban guns didn’t take guns off the streets. Nobody cares about the law; certainly the criminals don’t care about the laws.”

Naming Names

Yet isn’t disarmament of the law-abiding exactly what many in American politics are striving for? After all, I’ve discussed many, many times in my site how most gun control laws—including “universal” background checks, “assault weapon” bans, bans on standard-capacity magazines (incorrectly called “high-capacity”) and the creation of so-called “gun-free” zones—only affect law-abiding citizens, since the vast majority of criminals already get their guns by illegal means. That’s the same way criminals in Venezuela get their guns now, since there are no legal means.

Ironically, socialists in the U.S. government are the very politicians trying to force their gun-ban ambition on American citizens. Consider presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, the grand patron of American socialism who was arguably cheated out of the Democratic nomination in the last presidential election.

“I’m not afraid of the word:’ Sanders said in an interview with The Nation published in 2015.”When I ran for the Senate the first time, I ran against the wealthiest guy in the state of Vermont. … He kept attacking me as a liberal. He didn’t use the word ‘socialist’ at all, because everybody in the state knows that I am that.”

Sanders has become a reliable “yes” man automatic vote for ANY kind of restrictive gun control. Ironically, Sanders was recently warned about his embrace of socialism by someone who has lived it.

“Sanders was lucky to be able to get to the Soviet Union in 1988 and praise all its stunning socialist achievements before the entire system and empire collapsed under the weight of its own spectacular failures,” said Carl Bildt, Swedish prime minister from 1991 to 1994 and minister for foreign affairs from 2006 to 2014.

Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Beto O’Rourke—all announced themselves as 2020 presidential ‘hopefuls’—each aligned closely with socialist ideals. And of course, all say they “support” the Second Amendment. Yet that means nothing to them; all detest guns and gun owners. All three would happily ban the most popular rifle in the United States, used safely by millions of Americans on a daily basis. All three would gladly create a firearm registration system through the so-called “universal” background checks system. And never forget: Registration always leads to confiscation, whether here in the United States or elsewhere.

Now consider the newest “mainstream” media darling—U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., a proud socialist, big mouth and someone who has become way, way too big for her own britches. In her few short months in Congress, the former bartender hasn’t met an anti-gun proposal that she hasn’t liked. When voting on ‘universal’ background checks, she even threatened to “primary” less radical Democrats who failed to vote her way on an amendment that would require U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be notified if an illegal immigrant attempted to buy a gun from a commercial dealer.

And Ocasio-Cortez’s desire to ban guns carries right over into her hatred of the National Rifle Association. During a rant against AR-15’s, she took aim at over 6 million good, law-abiding NRA members. That’s good people. Doctors. Lawyers. Teachers. Students. Politicians. Mothers and Fathers.

“NRA politicians are also cheap to buy, and kill hundreds of people through neglect over extended periods:’ she said. Ironically, Ocasio-Cortez even launched a verbal attack on the NRA when a deranged man killed 50 people in a New Zealand mosque—a mass murderer that the NRA had absolutely no connection, ties to or with!

Of course, many more politicians on the Democrat side of the aisle have socialist leanings. And they read like a who’s-who list of the modern American gun-ban movement.

“Others are socialist at heart. They just haven’t yet worked up the nerve to say as much in public,” NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre wrote last March to state those examples, that they were the likes of “Far-left political elites like U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, California Gov. Jerry Brown, U.S. Sens. Chris Murphy and Chuck Schumer, Democratic National Committee Deputy Chairman Keith Ellison, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and many more.”

What do all of these politicians have in common, along with their embrace of socialism? The answer is simple: They all hate the Second Amendment, firearms and law-abiding American gun owners. And the reason why is even more simple: It’s much harder to exert social control over independent-minded, armed patriots.

Next time you see coverage of Venezuela and the dire plight of the people there, remember why they are unable to fight back against a corrupt government that couldn’t care less about their well-being. And let that be another reason to work fervently to keep the Second Amendment as relevant today as it was when it was written.

As the FX late night station for the animated series of Adult Swim for the Secret Agent Archer show would say……..

Do ya’ want socialism? Because if ya’ want socialism, that’s how ya’ get socialism.

*late, but save for next year

There are 525,600 minutes in a year, so hear me out please.

Join Me This Memorial Day in Honoring the Fallen During the National Moment of Remembrance

This coming Monday, I’m hoping you’ll take one of those minutes to join me in remembering the brave souls who died while serving. I plan to observe a moment of silence in honor of those fallen.

According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, this minute of silence, known as the National Moment of Remembrance, “encourages all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3 p.m. during their own local time on Memorial Day to remember and honor those who have died in service to this nation.”

Although it certainly doesn’t seem sufficient, each year I look forward to this simple way of thanking and paying tribute to the hundreds of thousands who have sacrificed — quite literally — everything in the name of freedom.

The “National Moment of Remembrance Act” (S. 3181) was passed on Dec. 28, 2000, according to the American Presidency Project. A statement released by the Office of the Press Secretary following the approval of S. 3181 notes that “each Memorial Day, the Nation honors those Americans who died while defending our Nation and its values. The observance of a National Moment of Remembrance is a simple and unifying way to commemorate our history to honor the struggle to protect our freedoms.”

Think and ponder what these souls have done for the all citizens of this nation.

It’s because of these individuals that I personally am able to continue to stand up and fight for what I believe.

It’s because of these individuals that millions are able to carry a firearm to defend themselves and loved ones against those who would wish to do them harm.

It’s because of these individuals that I am able to live out my mission, spreading the word of God Given Free thought and the need to stand up for freedom and against tyranny in ANY form.

It’s humbling to be on the receiving end of such selflessness, and so it’s for these souls that I plan on observing that moment of silence this Monday.

Amid the bonfires and the BBQ’s and other festive activities that have become synonymous with Memorial Day, I hope you’ll join me in remembering and cherishing the precious gifts those individuals died to preserve.

God bless the fallen, their family and friends. God bless their ultimate sacrifices. And God bless the future of this nation for our children, grand-children and future generations to come.

IF FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS TAKEN AWAY, THE DUMB AND SILENT MAY BE LED, LIKE SHEEP

THE CONSTITUTION IS NOT A DOCUMENT FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO RESTRAIN THE PEOPLES.

IT IS AN INSTRUMENT FOR THE PEOPLES TO RESTRAIN THE GOVERNMENT.

Someone once said that if you sat a million monkeys at a million typewriters for a million years, one of them would eventually type out all of Hamlet by chance. But when we find the text of Hamlet, we don’t wonder whether it came from chance and monkeys. Why then does the atheist use that incredibly improbable explanation for the universe? Clearly, because it is his or her only chance of remaining an atheist. At this point we need a psychological explanation of the atheist rather than a logical explanation of the universe.

GOOD LAWS ARE BUILT UPON A SALUTARY COMBINATION OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL, REFLECTION OVER TIME AND RESPECT FOR THOSE WHOM THEY ARE LIKELY TO AFFECT.AND/OR IMPACT.

NO SUCH CONSIDERATIONS ARE ANY LONGER GIVEN TODAY WHEN CONGRESS NOW PASSES LEGISLATION.

ON THE CONTRARY, THEY HAVE INVARIABLY BEEN THE RESULT OF RUSHED PROCESSES, WHOSE TIMETABLES WERE DESIGNED TO AVOID SCRUTINY AND DISSENT.

THEY ARE LAWS, THAT EFFECTIVELY HAVE BECOME HOSTILE TO THE THE CONSTITUTION!

WITH THE UNSTABLE LEFT AND THEIR CONTINUED LIES AND DECEIT, HAVING CONVERSATION WITH THEM ON COMMON SENSE ISSUES IS LIKE SAYING THE SALEM WITCH TRIALS ADVANCED THE CONVERSATION ON WOMEN’S RIGHTS.

WHAT 99% DO NOT GET. THEY JUST DON’T!

People have to understand that anything we allow to slip away in our lifetime not only affects us personally today, but tomorrow moving forward our posterity as well.

Things we allow today to go away as far as liberties and freedoms, and the price that has been paid over the years by great men and women, becomes the now new normal for the next generation, and we really need to disallow that from EVER happening.

The rights of the peoples to keep and bear arms for the defense of life, liberty and property is regarded as an inalienable right of the peoples as granted by God Himself.

One’s belief has nothing to do with it. It’s an inalienable and human born inherited right.

This applies to the violations of a citizen’s rights to free speech, personal security, the right to life, liberty and property, due process and other factors now under direct attack through the guise of ‘gun control’ and so-called ‘common sense’ gun laws.

Once gone, more than not, these liberties are gone forever. And just like the implementation of laws, once written, very rarely are they ever retracted or rescinded. That means living without freedoms for your children, grandchildren and future generations to come.

So let me make this perfectly clear for all of you.

There are NO if’s, and’s or but’s about this. NONE!

“Why do you even need a gun like that?”

Whenever people find themselves answering that question, it seems their argument is strongest when walking the listener through the three key reasons for wanting guns: sporting, self-defense and the “fail-safe.”

The first two are self-explanatory, and so I’m just going to skip right to the third reason.

That final reason, that fail-safe, is the insurance policy on our Rule of Law. And this is the part that can be the toughest to explain and the easiest to distort and lampoon. Remember that the gun-control proponents are trying to paint responsible, shooters and armed citizens as anti-government radicals in order to marginalize them, so 2nd. Amenders shouldn’t give them more ammo through careless wording. (pun intended. lol)

THE LAST BULWARK

Our Constitution was written by a bunch of people who had just taken up arms against their government. You can read throughout the biographies of the Founders and in their own words in The Federalist Papers of how they toiled to balance power between the rich and the poor, the cities and the farmlands, the branches of government, the federal government, the states, the government itself and the citizens. They built in many layers to protect the Rule of Law, including an election cycle to enable a constant bloodless revolution, an amendment process and a Bill of Rights, even at the risk of limiting those rights by bounding them.

In that Bill of Rights, they wrote, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” And there are absolutely binders upon binders of books and publications that show what the Founding Fathers meant by a well regulated Militia was THE PEOPLE. NO IF’S, AND’S OR BUT’S ABOUT IT!

It has been awkward wording and punctuation that have vexed for centuries, those who have not studied the texts and words of the Founding Fathers, but to the rest of us — and to the U.S. Supreme Court post-Heller— the meaning is abundantly and absolutely clear: The people get to keep and carry arms.

Reasonable minds differ on the meaning and purpose. To me, an armed population is an ultimate fail-safe against foreign invasion or a government gone totally and genocidally crazy.

Make absolutely no mistake about this. The 200 million firearm owners in this country has most definitely given pause to other countries contemplating an on-shore attack of within the Continental United States.

Just because I say this doesn’t mean I advocate for the violent overthrow of the government or that I want to “shoot that feller when he comes to take our guns.” It means that if the Rule of Law breaks down — if we can’t protest, impeach, elect someone else, petition in a classical sense — and things have gotten so crazy that people are getting dragged off into the darkness never to be seen or heard from again, I want some sort of last-ditch option.

Do I think that day is coming soon? I don’t know. Do I think that day is coming at all? At this point, I think it would be foolish to proclaim one way or the other.

I believe in this country. I believe in a majority of it’s peoples. I believe in the Rule of Law. I believe in Americans and government officials to do the right thing.

But do you think it is impossible that such a day could come? How many totalitarian and genocidal regimes have we seen emerge in just the last 100 years? The trouble with the really bad guys is that they don’t announce their intentions decades in advance.

There are counterpoints worth considering. What can a bunch of yahoos armed with AK-47s do against a modern military? Well, having seen a bunch of yahoos with AK-47s in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Chechnya cause real problems for modern militaries, I would say more than you might think. But an armed population gives us a choice; and a chance; it gives us something better than being herded into the darkness.

Force isn’t — and should never be — a first resort. Some extremists and domestic terrorists may think they are justified in committing violence under this fail-safe logic, but for the most part, Americans have been extremely hesitant to resort to violence en-masse. Were that not the case, you’d have noticed by now.

DON’T DISENFRANCHISE ON ME

People don’t want guns so they can shoot whoever is going to ‘come for their guns.” They don’t want a hunting rifle. They want a weapon so that they can compete in a sport they enjoy. They want a firearm so that when the home-invasion robbery crew starts up the stairs, they can put something other than their pink, fuzzy, squishy body between them and their families. They want a weapon so they that, heaven forbid, they see a family member getting dragged into the darkness, they can do something other than begging them with their own lives instead.

If that makes those people “gun nuts” to you, then I KNOW those people will proudly wear that label. While we answer questions like these without coming across as hostile or radical, we need to emphasize that in a free country, the burden should never be on the people to justify having a right. That burden should always fall on the parties trying to curtail a freedom in order to explain why that right must be limited. To gun-control advocates, that proof is self-evident: “Guns kill people.”

Don’t let them gloss over their need to prove their case. Yes, guns are sometimes used to kill people, but prove to me that your proposed restriction is actually going to help that.

THEN, the question gets turned into “Why do you need to take our guns?”

REX 84

PLANNING FOR FUTURE MARTIAL LAW LEGISLATION AND ORDERS

For many years the globalists, through the federal agencies they control, have treasonously planned to use devastating orchestrated events to suspend constitutional rights and implement martial law.  The best-known plan for martial law/continuity of government is called REX 84.

Despite their planning efforts, technology, and billions of dollars spent on martial law training, a handful of activists can utilize simple yet powerful tools to ensure martial law is never implemented. This plan is known as Globalist Shutdown.

REX 84 and Other Martial Law Legislation/Orders

Readiness Exercise 1984 (REX-84) is an emergency response program involving the implementation of martial law, the relocation of civilian populations, and the arrest and detainment of segments of the population. A rehearsal of the program was carried out April 5-13, 1984. It was led by FEMA and the Department of Defense and involved the coordination of 34 other Federal departments and agencies.  Rex 84 was allegedly written by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, who was both National Security Council White House Aide, and NSC liaison to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA); and John Brinkerhoff, the deputy director of “national preparedness” programs for FEMA.

The “John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007” (H.R.5122) amended Posse Comitatus (which prevented the military from policing civilians) to allow the Federal government to unilaterally take control of state National Guards and position Federal troops anywhere in the country during a “public emergency.”Operation Garden Plot is a United States Army and National Guard program under control of the US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) to provide Federal military support during domestic civil disturbances. One example of the program’s implementation was during the 1992 Los Angeles riots when US Army and Marine forces were used in conjunction with the California National Guard.

Clergy Response Teams are being trained by the federal government to “quell dissent” and pacify citizens to obey the government in the event of a declaration of martial law.  Pastors are told to preach Romans 13 so the flock learns to “obey the government,” during martial law.

Numerous presidential executive orders also indicate martial law preparation.  For example, Obama’s executive order that creates a council of state governors who will work with the feds to expand military involvement in domestic security.  This has fueled fears that the administration is stepping up preparations for martial law.

There is congressional legislation that authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to set up a network of FEMA camp facilities to be used to house U.S. citizens in the event of a national emergency.  Ominously, the bill also states that the camps can be used to “meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security,” an open-ended mandate which many fear could mean the forced detention of American citizens in the event of widespread rioting after a national emergency or total economic collapse.  Similar camps were used to round-up 110,000 Japanese Americans during World War II without due process.

As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle:

Beginning in 1999, the government has entered into a series of single-bid contracts with Halliburton [the former CEO was Dick Cheney] subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) to build detention camps at undisclosed locations within the United States. The government has also contracted with several companies to build thousands of railcars, some reportedly equipped with shackles, ostensibly to transport detainees.

According to diplomat and author Peter Dale Scott, the KBR contract is part of a Homeland Security plan titled ENDGAME, which sets as its goal the removal of ‘all removable aliens’ and ‘potential terrorists.’

During January of 2010, Obama issued an executive order establishing a so-called “Council of Governors.”

The order, further diminishes the sovereignty of the states and builds on a framework for possible martial law. The executive order was completely ignored by the corporate media.  One of the governors, Bev Perdue of North Carolina, recently discussed the current orchestrated economic crisis and stated: “I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover.  You want people who don’t worry about the next election.”

Current Martial Law Preparations

In 1999, Alex Jones recorded unbelievable footage of Operation Urban Warrior in Oakland, California (featured in Police State 2000).  In the drill, Marines go house-to-house kicking in doors and taking residents (hired role players) to barbed wire concentration camps.  A Marine says over a loudspeaker, “we will not tolerate civil disobedience.”   The actors being rounded-up say things like “I’m an American. I have rights. Please don’t take our guns.  Let us out of here, we need food.”  The Marine on the loudspeaker says “remain calm and cooperative so we can process you into the camp faster.”

It is clear that the current orchestrated economic crisis will likely be used as the justification for martial law.  During October of 2010, Alaska Army National Guard Soldiers assisted Anchorage Police to calm or detain actors playing protestors as part of the training scenario of exercise Vigilant Guard.  One of the actors playing a protestor held a “food now” sign, indicating a scenario where law enforcement will have to detain and contain the hungry masses.

During 2008, Congressman Brad Sherman and Michael Burgess stated that Congress was told that martial law would be declared if the $700 billion banker bailout was not passed quickly.  Likewise, Congressman Ron Paul recently stated that “they’re [the globalists] setting the stage for violence in this country” to justify martial law.

Thousands of protesters are marching on Wall Street, and more importantly at the private Federal Reserve banks, angry that the largest banks were bailed with $16.1 trillion of nearly interest-free loans.  Meanwhile, millions of Americans are losing their jobs and having their negative equity homes foreclosed on. Maybe anticipated widespread economic collapse is why over 100 government agencies recently participated in the Operation Mountain Guardian drill, made possible due to a grant from the Department of Homeland Security through FEMA Region VIII and the State of Colorado Governor’s Office of Homeland Security. It appears that the government is also preparing a contrived pandemic if needed to justify martial law.Other Rex-84 Type Drills and Policies

There is no question that the United States is incrementally being transformed into Nazi-like police state under the War on Terror ruse.  The federal government is training local law enforcement that the real terrorists are not CIA funded Muslims in caves, but Ron Paul supporters, people who opposethe private Federal Reserve, libertarians, people who display bumper stickers, people who own gold, or even people who fly a U.S. flag — equating them with radical race hate groups and terrorists.

Since 2003, U.S. Troops have engaged in house-to-house combat in Iraq, kicking in doors while searching for insurgents (those that oppose U.S. military invasion of their homeland).  Such tactics may soon be used in the United States.

In 2008 The Pentagon announced plans to deploy a 20,000 strong internal troop force inside the continental United States (CONUS) that was set to be trained by 2011, thus dovetailing into the current troop and equipment movements around the country reported by truckers, as well as many more troop sightings by everyday citizens.  Interestingly enough, this plan directly correlates with a 2009, Army funded, Rand Corporation study that called for an internal United States police force to combat civil unrest.

In 2010, Operation Vigilant Guard occurred in Chicago, where a militarized response during disasters and terrorist events in the United States was practiced, with foreign troops participating.  “Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful,” globalist minion Henry Kissinger purportedly said in an address to the Bilderbergers Group at Evian, France in 1991.

Emergency Preparedness

Last month in Denver, Colorado, more than 100 federal and state agencies were involved in Operation Mountain Guardian, billed as a drill to simulate a terrorist attack based on events in Mumbai that killed 164 people in 2008.  The media was not supposed to know that the ultimate goal was to relocate children and at-risk populations to a sport stadium FEMA camp relocation center.

During Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the New Orleans police and National Guard unleashed a wave of gun confiscations with these chilling words: “No one will be able to be armed. We will take all weapons. Only law enforcement will be allowed to have guns.”  Thousands of firearms were then confiscated from law-abiding gun owners, who may have needed them to defend themselves. The police gave no paperwork or receipts for those guns. They just stormed in and seized them.  During 2010, the National Guard practiced confiscating guns using the War on Drugs as a justification.Apparently nobody told them that the government runs the drug trade.

Aside from martial law drills, the public is being conditioned that the 4th Amendment no longer applies and that we are all guilty of something until proven innocent.  Naked Airport Body scanners bathe the public in cancer-causing radiation and gangs of TSA agents strip-search children.  Now those who attend sporting events must also spread-em and SUBMIT.  Notice that whenever you transact online you must click SUBMIT rather than “proceed or “continue.”  More than 500 backscatter x-ray scanners mounted in vans that can be driven past neighboring vehicles to see their contents have been sold to government agencies and are hitting the streets. Homeland Security also launched the “See Something, Say Something,” where citizens are encouraged to report one another to the government.  Homeland Security is also recruiting jittery coffee drinkers to spot terrorists. Even that adult lady still pretending to be a queen endorses 1984.

The government is also conditioning Americans to accept totalitarian government.  Michael Allison, the 41-year old Illinois mechanic who faced life in jail for recording police officers, has had all charges against him dropped after a state judge ruled that his First Amendment rights had been violated, following a trend of similar rulings across the country that underscore the fact that it is not illegal to film cops.  However, the military and policeare frequently working together at DUI checkpoints and other venues to violate what remains of Posse Comitatus.

Likewise, we are incrementally being conditioned to relinquish free speech and accept censorship.  Google, a CIA front company, frequently censors the alternative media by deleting or freezing alternative news websites and YouTube channels.  Recently BART admitted to halting cell phone service to stop protests, which are protected under the First Amendment.  Not to be left out, Yahoo has also been accused of censoring emails pertaining to the Occupy Wall Street protests.  YouTube and the Federal Reserve are currently trying to censor the Alex Jones YouTube channel for posting a video showing the head of security for the San Antonio Federal Reserve saying that the federal reserve building is “private property… it is not a federal building.”

Clearly, the globalists have spent billions of dollars preparing for martial law.  Fortunately, the following tools will ensure that their perverted dark military fantasy never comes becomes reality.

GLOBALIST SHUTDOWN (Solutions)

A great example for defeating the fascist globalists and their plans to impose martial law is Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement.  King and his supporters were so effective in defeating tyranny, whether it be racial segregation, poverty, or the senseless Vietnam War, that the government/globalists had to assassinate him.  King’s inspirational speeches are available online and his writings are highly recommended.  Rather than one Martin Luther King Jr., we need a million activists using his tools and spreading his message in their local communities.

Education

Enlighten the people generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like evil spirits at the dawn of day. – Thomas Jefferson

The globalists need secrecy to impose martial law and increase the power of their fascist world government.  That is why international bankster and Bilderberger David Rockefeller said:

it would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government …

Educating others is to shine bright light on the globalist cockroaches.

A great way to educate others is to deliver 50 flyers each weekend to the front-door mats of your neighbors, which takes about 20 minutes.  The flyer should have summaries of important articles and the names of your favorite alternative media websites.  Leaving a flyer is an invitation for the reader to do more research and learn for themselves (like unschooling for adults).  People do not want activists like us telling them how ignorant they are or “this is how it really is.”  They need to discover and decide for themselves.  If you deliver 50 flyers per week, 40 weeks per year, you will reach 2,000 houses in one year.

Another great way to educate people is to email your contacts, friends, and family members links to the week’s best articles every Friday.  The title or subject of your email can simply be, “Check This Out.”

Asking questions, like Socrates, is a fantastic way to educate people. What do you think of building 7?  Oh, you haven’t heard of it.  I’ll email you a link that will blow your mind.  What do you think of Rex 84?  You haven’t heard of it.  I’ll send you a link.BoycottBoycotting is one of the most affective tools for activists.  A classic example is the Montgomery Bus Boycott, led by Martin Luther King, Jr. lasting 385 days.  The boycott campaign ended with a U.S. District Court ruling in Browder v. Gayle that ended racial segregation on all Montgomery public buses.

Activists that desire peace, equality, and prosperity for everyone should boycott corporate sponsors of the Council on Foreign Relations, also known asAmerica’s secret government.  You have a right not to contract with anyone.  Boycotting means: 1) not buying products or services from these corporations; 2) not working at these corporations; 3) refusing to own shares of these corporations; 4) refusing to own mutual funds that invest in shares of these corporations.  As Tony Cartalucci said:

The system is only as corrupt as the amount we continue paying into it. We must recognize the corporations lurking behind this system, seen by many as benign or even beneficial to modern America, and realize that they indisputably dominate both America domestically and all that falls under American influence abroad. Boycott these corporations into destitution and replace them with local, decentralized, practical alternatives based on real markets, real competition, real progress, and technological innovation.

Enough people pulling their money out of the bank and refusing to use debit cards or usurious credit cards would also help end the fractional reserve banking scam.

Peaceful Protests

Peaceful protests are very effective at ending tyranny, as they show the government and globalists that we are well aware of their crimes against us.  Protests also educate the public by forcing the corporate media to cover important issues that they would prefer to ignore.  How could the Vietnam War continue with hundreds of thousands of people protesting in the heart of Washington D.C.?  After approximately 58,000 American and 1,366,000 Vietnamese unnecessary deaths, the people told the globalists that they had had enough.  Likewise, “the image of draft card burning was a powerful one. It appeared in magazines, newspapers and on television… Richard Nixon [globalist] ran for president in 1968 on a platform based partly on putting an end to the draft, in order to undercut protesters making use of the symbolic act. Nixon ended the draft in 1973, rendering unnecessary the symbolic act of draft-card burning.”

Today, we can make history by participating in End the Federal Reserve protests, which in time will abolish that private banking cartel and free the people from their debt enslavement.  The Federal Reserve allows the globalists to create money out of nothing and loan it to the government at interest, enslaving taxpayers with the national debt.  So far, the corrupt government has paid its corporate masters $3 trillion “keeping us safe” after the 911 controlled demolitions.  The IRS then collects income taxes to pay interest on the national debt to the private federal reserve that created the money it lent the government out of nothing.  The Federal Reserve is owned by its largest member banks and recently provided them with a $16.1 trillion dollar bailout.  Citigroup alone received $2.5 trillion as they continue to foreclose on people’s homes.  There is nothing more important to an informed activist than ending the fascist private Federal Reserve along with its fiat currency and fractional reserve banking system.

Civil Disobedience

Civil Disobedience, also known as “noncompliance,” is the failure to obey a law that violates the Constitution, natural law, or an individual’s conscience.  For example, Arizona shut down its 4th Amendment violating state-wide traffic camera program due to citizen noncompliance. Cameras had been installed to monitor citizens driving and issue speeding tickets

The citizens won not by fighting the state, but by ignoring the State.  The State, as an institution, thrives on confrontation. The best antidote is peaceful non-compliance. Simply ignore the State, disengage, and the State is rendered impotent.Through the highway camera system, it was hoped that an additional burst of revenue would roll in. Instead, it became a massive drain on the state’s budget. Not only did it not bring in the hoped-for revenue, it didn’t even make enough money to pay for the expense of installing and maintaining the cameras.  The citizens simply ignored the tickets that arrived in the mail. The state of Arizona doesn’t have the money nor the resources to follow up on the unpaid tickets.

Civil Disobedience (Resistance to Civil Government) is a famous essay by American transcendentalist Henry David Thoreau. In it, Thoreau argues that individuals should not permit governments to overrule or atrophy their consciences, and that they have a duty to avoid allowing such acquiescence to enable the government to make them the agents of injustice. Thoreau was motivated in part by his disgust with slavery and the Mexican-American War.

If a thousand [citizens] were not to pay their tax-bills this year, that would not be a violent and bloody measure, as it would be to pay them, and enable the State to commit violence and shed innocent blood. This is, in fact, the definition of a peaceable revolution, if any such is possible.

How does it become a man to behave toward this American government today? I answered that he cannot without disgrace be associated with it.

Rosa Parks is famous for refusing to comply with the law requiring her to give up her seat on the bus due to her skin color. Sit-ins were an integral part of the non-violent strategy of civil disobedience and mass protests that eventually led to passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which ended legally-sanctioned racial segregation in the United States.

Now is the time for you to refuse to submit to unjust laws and government actions.  Don’t let yourself or your children be forcibly vaccinated by government goons.  Don’t let the City tell you not to have guests in your home.  If the police arrest you for feeding the homeless, keep feeding them and ask others to join you.  Yes, you can dance in public if you want to.

Agape Love Martin Luther King realized that agape love is essential to bring about positive social change.  Agape love is simply redemptive good will for all men and women.  If you truly love your spouse, children, family friends, neighbors, and humanity itself, you will take action to reverse mankind’s incremental enslavement.  An important aspect is telling others the truth, even when the truth is not pleasant to hear.  Agape love also requires that you not allow yourself to hate the global elite and their agents despite their history of unspeakable crimes against humanity.  Of course, agape love does not imply that the global elite should not be arrested, tried by an impartial jury, convicted, and imprisoned for their crimes.

By implementing these tools of freedom daily, we will ensure that the globalists’ plans and drills for martial law in American never amount to more than a total waste of time and money.
